Generating Your own electricity from a wind turbine is a lot simpler than you think. Many people have not joined the green movement because they think it is too complicated and expensive.

After many years of research purchasing and assembling expensive wind turbines I got the idea that I could build one myself with a lot less money from readily available parts from the Hardware and Automotive stores.

Another hot topic is using Magnets for energy. The basic idea is to use a small amount of energy to start the motor but then increase the power going back into another battery such as used by a solar sytem. Magnets is also a great way to combine with a wind turbine because a small amount of wind will get the turbine turning and the magnets will keep it going. If using wind or magnets is not what you had in mind you could try making your own solar panels. Solar is the primary source of energy that is great because it has no moving parts. Combining a solar system with your wind turbine is perfect. Homemade solar panels are a cost effective alternative to over priced commercial brands. But beware, they take patience and soldering is involved.

The good part is that all these plans lived up to their promise and we were able to to generate free electricity for little cost.
